Yey! We have our rings already! 🙂

We had our rings made at my mom’s alahera in Sta. Rosa Laguna. They came out cheap ’cause we provided the stones. We’re supposed to bring them back after fitting them. They still have to engrave our names.

One less thing to think about. Happy happy joy joy!

Ateneo vs. La Salle

Our second loss for the season. Shucks. I don’t feel as bad – no cheating involved. Didn’t look as if the La Salle players used dirty tricks. It actually seemed that they wanted it more (oo nga naman, two losses in a row against Ateneo will really hurt their ego’s). They played better. The Ateneo heart wasn’t enough to close the 31 point lead. Sayang, kung 15 points lang siguro yun, we would’ve had a chance.

Some observations: We really need to look for a good point guard who can replace LA Tenorio. I don’t see it in Chris Tiu. And I definitely don’t see it in Escalona. He has been playing for 3 years and he’s still not a good point guard. And we need to look for someone who can dominate the paint.

What’s weird is that even if we lost, I was so proud to be an Atenean during that game. La Sallians used to laugh at our line “Win or lose, this is the school we choose.” But it’s true. Win, or lose. The relationship of the gallery and the players is a two-way thing. The players have a responsibility to the gallery. They should play well, or at least try their best to play well. At the same time, the gallery has a responsibility to the players. The gallery should always cheer for the players, whether they win or lose. I actually pity the La Salle players (well, not Cardona and Gaco eheheh) ’cause it looks like they’re on a one-way street. The gallery will only cheer for them, or ‘cheer loudly with all their hearts’ for them when they’re winning. This has been mentioned time and again, in different places, by different people, La Sallians, and other non-Ateneans, included. It’s a totally different story with Ateneo. During the game (except some parts of the second quarter when people were literally stunned by the one million errors of the Ateneo players), if you don’t look at the score, you’ll think that it’s a tied game. When there’s actually a 26 (and at one point it even reached 31) point lead!

(Ehehe I lost my train of thought ’cause someone called me up and I had to discuss some stuff for work. So I’ll leave it at that.)

Rather slow weekend for me (for a change!) ’cause Jovan’s in Davao for the Kadayawan Festival. No wedding preps stuff, except for the bridal fair in Edsa Shang tomorrow. Nope, unfortunately, he’s not there for a vacation. It’s for work. I’m sure you’ve seen the commercials on Channel 2 on Du-aw Davao. 🙂

I have a new baby – the Palm Tungsten T3!!! Yey! I’m still charging it right now so I can’t use it yet! Can’t wait! It has bluetooth, it can play MP3’s, it can sync with Outlook… lotsa neat features! I hope I can buy a screen protector and a case within the week. 🙂

Belgian ChocoBites

I am currently addicted to the Belgian ChocoBites of Mister Donut. I asked Jovan to buy for me every single day. Of course, he never gets to buy them, because by the time he has time to go down to the caf or to mini-stop, they’re gone! I guess they’re really in demand.

Haven’t been really following The Amazing Race 5. The teams are not interesting. They tried to make it interesting, with Charla, but that’s it. I TOTALLY hate Myrna and Charla – Myrna’s a total b!tch, and Charla’s ‘of the same feather’. Well, they’re cousins. In today’s episode, she said something about being bullied, because of the encounter with Colin and his partner. HELLO! IT’S YOUR FAULT! You were so rude when you tried to ‘steal’ their cab. Too bad for you, they haven’t paid the cab driver and there is no way he’s gonna leave without their payment. Hay nako! Don’t give me that crap that people are looking down on you because you’re different. You’re using that to your advantage. You’re using the emotions of people to get ahead. Urgh. Hate hate hate them.

Sitti and the Cubano

We were finally able to watch Sitti and the Cubano last friday at Star Tavern, along E. Rod. I was with Jovan, Kookie, Bunny and Leeds. I got curious because Bunny kept on raving about the group, plus we’re thinking of having a bossa nova band for the reception instead of strings. Sitti, a 19-year old student from UP, is AMAZING! She’s soooooooo pretty, and her voice is so sexy!!! That was damn good music. Even if the place wasn’t very nice, and it was crawling with DOM’s, we will still go back one of these days. They sing at Star Tavern every friday, from 9:30PM to 1:30AM.
